Dwellings
The Wicked City The fires of the Wicked City are visible from nearly anywhere in the Realm. It is a horrific and twisted construct of black marble towers and spiked, defiled chapels. It is home to the Demons. There is only one way in and out of the city, through the Black Gates, once guarded by Tchy’ulio, the most ancient and powerful of demons. Within the City lies a world of torture, betrayal, and treachery, where innocence has no place.
Ki'Laren Grown from the ruined earth of the Ash Wastes, Ki'Laren is a young city built by the Shades in the last century. It is often referred to as the White City, being made entirely of snowy stone mined from deep below the Ashes. Ki'Laren is a peaceful city - all weapons are confiscated until departure of the owner, and violence is not tolerated. Some Shen fear an underlying scheme behind the construction of this city, but so far there has been no support for the suspicions.
Forest of Lo'Gregah The Forests are a deeply magical place, filled with every tree imaginable. The Dryads are believed to have originated from its woods long ago. The majority of the elves live in treetop villages and huts scattered throughout the forest. Each village is centered around a Holy Grove: a magical node from which it is believed all magic stems.
Midnight City The city of the Vampires is located some four days south of the Wicked City. The air seems to grow cold nearer the city, the skies cloud and an almost tangible darkness fills the atmosphere. The city itself is in constant darkness; the rays of the sun do not penetrate this desolate, harsh place. The buildings are tall Gothic monuments without faces and thick, slated roofs. There is no telling what watches from the darkest pockets of shadow here....
Dragon Valley Hidden by the ridge, it is known well for its abundance of forests, rivers and caverns. Home to many of the Dragon folk, it is one of the most feared places in the Realm, even for all of its beauty.
Isentar Isentar has risen! Once hidden beneath the cold fathoms of the south sea, several stories of the pearlescent marble buildings now stand above the waters, gleaming dimly in the moonlight. This recent miracle is thought to be the work of the long-lost Gods, but perhaps truly belongs to the hands of several powerful Ti Qui and An Do mages. Isentar is home to the Kreeaquekh, believed to be descended from the ancient elves who inhabited Isentar when it stood above the seas before the Great War. For this reason the Kreeaquekh are believed to be the wisest of races, holding knowledge the surface elves no longer possess. As the sea's waters crash against the newly risen walls, many Shen wonder if this will mean the return of the reclusive sea-elves.
Sparkling Stream The Sparkling Stream is the source of the purest water in the entire Realm. Close to the center of the Forest of Lo'Gregah, it is guarded by ancient spirits. It is one of the most powerful nodes in the Realm.
Misty Glade The Misty Glade merges with the Forest of Lo’Gregah and spans for many miles. Its grass is lush and plentiful, often littered with wild flowers and small shrubs. It also contains crystal springs well hidden within its long grasses. It is known as the Green Sea for when cold winds blow the grass moves and sways as the waves of the Ocean. The beauty of the field is at its climax at night, when the moon caresses its green blades and the fireflies dance playfully in the dark sky.
Halfway House The small, rundown, abandoned cottage known as the Halfway House is the only safe place to be between the Wicked City and the Dragons' Ridge. Possessed by magical charms that freeze those who try to harm others, travelers can sleep peacefully knowing harm is unlikely to befall them here. It is also said to sport some of the best cuisine in the Realm, if the cook is in the right kind of mood….
Mydraal Forest The second largest forest in the Realm, the Mydraal Forest is said to be host to a monastery of Dryad monks deep in its heart. Strange and beautiful creatures lurk beneath the rich canopy, and the very air has an essence of purity.
The Groves Nestled in the center of Mydraal Forest, the Grove is what remains of the place where the Well of Life once stood. For millenia all that remained was a black abyss that called to the darkness in the hearts of Shen who ventured too close. Now a great crystaline tree of ice stands over the remains of the Well, the abyss still calling but unable to ever steal another unfortunate soul into its infinite depths.
Shores of Shen The white-sand beaches of the Realm are a peaceful place, especially at sunset. But when a storm strikes there is no telling how terrible the devastation is.
Murky Pools The swamps and quagmires to the east of the Wicked City are a dangerous place to be for even the hardiest warrior. The influence of the Demons has sunken deep into this place, corrupting the people, trees, and even the soil. A constant eerie fog hangs over the place, and its swamp-like ground shows no mercy.
The Barrens The Barrens are the remnants of an enormous battle between the Demons and the Angels some thousands of years ago. The Barrens are desolate and empty, but due to spells cast millennia ago, they are saturated in raw magic.
The Arena The giant stone arena stands in the middle of Kargaroth, a small village on the outskirts of the Barrens. It is home to the most vicious fighters in the Realm. Here Shen can battle and slay each other without fear of repercussion.

Ash Wastes The Wastes are what is left of the greatest city ever created by Magrus, Nag'ratha. When Benki lead the charge against the gods, the first thing he did was burn Nag'ratha to the ground, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Shen.

Dragons' Ridge Dragons' Ridge is the largest and craggiest mountain range in the entire Realm. There are a few active volcanoes along this range. There are constant winds and clouds up here, and many an inexperienced flyer has met their demise on the sides of these great peaks.

Caves of Destruction Believed to be a dragon graveyard, the Caves are desolate, deep crags within the side of the Dragons' Ridge. Few spend any amount of time in its eerie depths, and as such those that converse here will not likely be overheard.
Tunnels of Old The ancient tunnels that run across nearly the entirety of the Realm are not only perilous, but for the most part uncharted. They are filled with stagnant pools, fresh springs, forgotten temples, fungi forests and mineral crevasses. Those who explore these tunnels most often meet their end, for in the darkness lurks one of the most powerful and venerable beings to ever tread the soil. However, the wonders within the darkness of these underground caves may also grant life to those in need.
